Gran Canaria Style

For this blog post, i would love to take you along on my last trip to Gran Canaria.

When we choose a destination to spend the holidays, we always look for places we’ve never been before first, so when a friend recommended us to go to the Lopesan Boabab Resort in Maspalomas because she and her family had an amazing time there, I quickly looked it up on Google and decided this was it.

The Lopesan Boabab is a 5 star African themed resort that looks absolutely amazing. From the rooms, to the different restaurants, to the pool areas, lounges etc., everything was in that theme and decorated in style.

So Lets get to the style part!

I love to dress for a certain occasion, so when I was packing my suitcase, I felt as if I needed to dress the part to fit the theme of the resort. I love animal print so This was a no brainer for me.

Swimsuit: Missguided | Skirt: Zara | Mules: Dune London | Bag: Topshop | Sunglasses : local shop in LA

The first day was all about relaxation at the pool and walking around the resort, but first we take pictures of course lol?

At night I wore a knitted dress and caged heels From Zara and paired it with This cute Bucket bag From Mango which I thought was the perfect fit. Accessory wise, I layered a few necklaces together and put on big statement earrings.

The rest of the week we stayed most part of the day in the resort(poolside) and later explored the town a bit. But I have to admit, this holiday was all about relaxation and enjoying our family time together.

Here are a few more styles that I wore the days after:

Top/Shoes /Skirt: Zara | Bag: Mango
Top/Skirt/Shoes/Earings :Zara | Bag: Micheal Kors | Belt: Mango | Necklaces: Bershka | Sunglasses: Rayban
Chlotes:Zara | Heels: Public Desire | Bag in bag because I like switching thing up ? | Topshop X Louis Vuitton

After all the sunbathing and relaxing, we decided to see a nearby village named Porto de Mógan. it is called the “Venice of the Canaries“ because of its canals and the beautiful harbour. Its not a real big village so it was perfect to spend a day or two and enjoy the beautiful scenery and colourful architecture.

Top: Zara | Skirt: Monki | Sandals: Micheal Kors | Bag: local shop | Necklaces: Bershka | Sunglaces: local shop
Top (but is actually a dress): Zara | Skirt/sunglasses : Mango | Beltbag: Gucci | Necklaces: Bershka

I bet you can now guess what my favorite shop ever is!?……………. uhmmm Yep Zara it is❤️

You know I always find it so hard to awnser when they ask, “so how do you describe your style?”
Because, to me, fashion is fashion. There are no rules in my book, as we are all humans and Unique in our own ways. We all have a different taste and style, and I love that. I am the type of person that wears what I think looks good and feels good, depending on my mood and the day/occasion. But, just to name a few things that i always pick:

  1. Colour
  2. Prints
  3. Statement pieces that can fix a simple look ( a bold shoe Or a fun bag for example

And, last but not least, my all time favorite motto is :if you like it buy it, wear it, slay it! Cause Life is to Short for boring outfits!

My name is Manuela Misiedjan. I am 31 years old and a full-time mother to little Liam. As a former visual merchandiser, I do love fashion very much, but it was due to my training to become a merchandiser that I developed a passion for styling as well. I really love to go through the collections in stores to see what they put together and how they styled the mannequins. I am also really fortunate that I get to travel a lot and see bits of the world. I studied tourism and leisure management in school, so traveling the world was also something I always dream of doing. So, that being said, I really have found my passion with fashion and travel.
